Mari[ co-director | dancer | choreographer | drummer | webmistress | designer ]Hailing from a beautiful Carribbean isle, Mari's obsession with bellydancing has lead her to corral the forces that are Alchemy into what you see today. When not devoting her attention to the ever growing organism that is the Alchemy troupe, other ways she avoids daily life are by actively sparking the love of bellydance through regular, beginning, and Tribal Fusion classes held weekly at Warren Rd Community Center. Contact us for details. Like her fellow troupe members, she can also be found dancing with Savannah Winds Middle Eastern Dance Troupe at their regular yearly events. She is infinitely indebted to her knight in shining armour, the sultan, fellow harem girls, some of the boxed bunnies (you know who you are), and 'da parents for all the help, support, and generally putting up with her! While sewing isn't really her thing, Mari has been known to whip up some wickedly enchanting bras, tassels, and hair falls not to mention draw out and propose costume ideas to keep the Alchemy look the ever evolving creation it is. mari@alchemydance.com |
