Alchemy is the premiere tribal fusion bellydance troupe in the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area). It originated in 2004 in Augusta, GA. Quickly expanding its area of coverage, Alchemy has brought its fun flair for the dramatic to performances in various parts of Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. With the creation of Southern Oasis, Alchemy has produced the first (and only) annual bellydance event in the CSRA. Southern Oasis brings bellydancers, teachers,and vendors to the CSRA from cities throughout GA, SC, NC, FL, NJ, NM, and CA.Southern Oasis is a weekend long event comprised of all day dance and percussion workshops and a one night gala show.
As a collective, Alchemy is dedicated to bringing bellydance workshops, events, and appreciation to the Southeast region to foster a sense of community among the dancers and troupes in the area. As an organization, Alchemy is committed to serving as a source of education and inspiration to the dance community and to the general public.
